This collaborative partnership between the Town of Miami, City of Globe, and Arizona Water Company is called an Integrated Demand Management Program (IDMP). Demand management pertains to the idea that we all contribute to water demand, and when we all play our part in conserving water, we can reduce that demand. Every drop of water conserved is a gallon left in the ground, and the partners are equally committed to minimizing local water waste. Learn more on our website: https://bit.ly/3PNRWoF
For a demand management program to be integrated, it needs to be in tune with the community, which means collaborating with important stakeholders. The partners behind From the Ground Up are the Town of Miami, the City of Globe, the Town of Winkelman, and Arizona Water Company. The Town of Miami provides sewer and trash services to residents, but not water. https://miamiaz.gov/ The City of Globe is a municipal water provider, meaning the city owns the water system. https://www.globeaz.gov/ Arizona Water Company is a private water utility that provides water for customers in all of Miami, parts of Globe, all of Winkelman, and surrounding unincorporated or county areas. https://www.azwater.com/
Water conservation isn’t about restricting water use in every possible way. It’s about being mindful of using each drop as efficiently as possible to eliminate unnecessary waste as we maintain our desired quality of life. It’s also about recognizing how residential, commercial, and industrial water usage promotes the well-being of the community. Water conservation is a responsibility shared by all, and in an effort to uphold this responsibility, the Town of Miami, the City of Globe, and Arizona Water Company are partnering to launch From the Ground Up, an Integrated Demand Management Program, or IDMP. You can learn more about the program on our website: https://bit.ly/3PNRWoF
The From The Ground Up program is asking residents to share their input as we begin! Let us know what conservation topics you want to learn more about and how we can support your efforts in saving water in your home and business. From the Ground Up is an Integrated Demand Management Program launched by the Town of Miami, City of Globe, and Arizona Water Company for communities in Miami, Globe, Winkelman, and the surrounding unincorporated or county areas. The From The Ground Up logo drew inspiration from the colors of the region, like copper earth, desert plants, canyon stone, and the turquoise tones shaped by water and time.
